Classroom & Rehearsal Activities
[75] Chair Placement Auditions
- each audition will be audio recorded
- auditions will proceed in score order (flute, clarinet, alto, tenor, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion) and then alphabetically by last name
- when your name is selected, proceed immediately to the front, play a couple warmup notes, then begin your audition
- state your name before you perform your audition
- there is no tempo requirement for scales - slow and accurate is better than fast and sloppy
- audition music must be performed in the following order:
- B-flat concert scale
- E-flat concert scale
- F concert scale
- #111
- Sight reading
- you have 2.5 minutes to complete your audition
- chair placements will be announced Monday
