- Quietly and efficiently prepare for rehearsal:
- Wind players:
- Set up music stand and, if necessary, your chair
- Get your instrument ready and start warming up on your own
- Remember, large cases stay in lockers
- Saxophones / Bass Clarinet: bring your swab to your chair with you so you do not have to go back to your case/locker at the end of rehearsal to swab out your instrument
- Percussionists:
- Set up the percussion instruments
- Go through your warmups and "Shadows Unleashed" and make sure we have everything we need
- Wind players:

- Percussion put all mallets/sticks away, cover all instruments that have covers; brass put instruments away; woodwinds swab out your instruments in place
