- Dress rehearsal for "Remember Me" from 3 to 4 p.m.
- Concert starts at 5 p.m.
- We only have ONE real rehearsal the week of the concert due to the 8th grade Disneyland trip - yikes! This means that EVERYONE needs to master their music outside of rehearsal and BE PREPARED.
- Attire is Benton Music polo and khakis
[2:00] Sectionals
- Circle or arc up with your sections outside WEST of the building (near the old tent area / storage containers); percussion only remain inside
- Everyone take your music stand out
- Tubas, bass clarinets, bari sax, and horns - take your chair out (everyone else will be standing)
- Follow the Sectional Rehearsal Guidelines carefully (winds | percussion)
- Mr. Mijares and Mr. Summers will have only 10 minutes (use a timer!) with each section:
- Summers - Flutes (Oboe can be with flutes or separate)
- Mijares - Clarinets
- Summers - Bass Clarinets, Bari Sax, Tubas (take chairs)
- Mijares - Alto Saxes and Horns
- Mijares - Tenor Saxes, Trombones, Euphoniums
- Summers - Trumpets
- Percussion - since you have your own class and we have limited time, you will be on your own the entire 30 minutes
- When Mr. Mijares or Mr. Summers come to your section, every student who has not yet passed it off will play the concert F Major scale and arpeggio down the line. You only get one chance to play it today. Pass/fail. If you do not pass today, you will try again later.
- After each student in your section plays their concert F Major scale and arpeggio, spend the remaining time working on one of the passages on the list
- You need to be set up and starting your rehearsal by 2:10 p.m. sharp - move quickly!
